Three couples stayed here for a week (August 2026) - visiting mainly for cycling. There are some benefits to staying in Sevrier rather than the nearby city of Annecy if you are here in the summer for cycling and/or hiking (overall less expensive and less crowded, easy access to cycling routes) The owner/manager (Steff) answered all messages within 24 hours and met us personally at check-in. It was all very easy. The house is a big, open space and looks exactly like the photos. Including the backyard, there is plenty of room for couples to spread out. The interior decor is colourful and funky.I would recommend it for two or three couples who are staying for several days. Very much enjoyed our week at the Woodloft. The house was very well maintained and looked as brilliant as in the pictures. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool, unique cedar hot tub and outdoor baulles game. The air conditioning was also excellent for the very hot summer weather! Great walking distance to the beach or various restaurants, could get around on a cycle all week if preferred. It was also ideal to have a gym room away from the main area of the house. We had such a great time at this place. The design is gorgeous, and there was just a really lovely feeling throughout the whole stay. The kind of place that makes you want to slow down and enjoy it.Everything was spotless, the pool was perfect for relaxing in the evenings after a day out, and the outdoor jacuzzi was such a fun bonus too.Steff was a fantastic host and really easy to communicate with. He even reserved us a table at the best restaurant for Fête du Lac, which was such a nice touch and made the trip even more special.Would happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-cared-for place with a host who really goes the extra mile.

This is such a special place- beautifully designed very, very large.. close to nearby shops and the lake. The host is very proactive and helpful. We loved it and would readily recommend and return. We loved the cosy window seat, indoor pool and gym, petanque space and cedar wood hot tub as well as the beautifully air conditioned space inside. We absolutely loved our stay! The house has such a unique character, with its beautiful high ceiling, clever layout and stylish design details. We especially enjoyed playing pétanque in the private garden, which felt like a peaceful little oasis despite being so close to everything.The location is fantastic – just a few minutes' walk to the lake with breathtaking views and a refreshing swim during the heatwave, while Annecy, wonderful hiking trails and several cosy restaurants are all within easy reach. This property has the wow factor on arrival! We were excited to explore it! Things we loved included the comfy beds, great showers, secluded outside dining spot, peaceful location - and the sound system was fun to use for waking up teenage children! We did have issues with the air conditioning - the units made frequent buzzing sounds which disrupted our sleep. The host tried to resolve but sadly we ended up having to turn the air conditioning off at night. Local restaurants were a bit hit and miss, but local bakery was fab for morning pastries! Local beach fantastic for swimming and great beach cafe for food and drinks. E-bike hire was a must - we cycled the whole lake in a morning and it was glorious. We also hired a boat from Annecy and explored by water and did paddle boarding from a secluded cove and the views were breathtaking. 5 nights was the perfect duration for us.
